Jeff Pratt receives RYA Community Service Award from HRH Princess Anne

Extract from the RYA Community Service awards Document on the RYA Website.. 

"Jeff’s influence in the early days of the club was enormous. He, with others, turned a series of ponds into a usable lake. It was hard, physical work in cold conditions but Jeff was always cheerful and kept the project rolling. Recently, Canadian Pondweed has threatened to choke the lake and close the club. The club would not have survived if it was not for the machinery Jeff designed and made to cut the weed and the leadership he provided that ensures the lake is cut once a week. His cheerfulness and enthusiasm are greatly valued. He is always approachable and has encouraged novices and supported the club in its aim to promote the sport of sailing for some 35 years. "
