Location of Wanlip Sailing Club

North of the city of Leicester, Wanlip Sailing Club is accessed from the A6/A46 junction about 8miles from the M1 junction 21A.

If travelling from the South, approach via the M1. At junction 21A take the exit and join the access road to the A46. in about 7 miles you will approach the A6 junction. Do not leave at this junction but continue for about 1 mile and you will cross the bridge over the river Soar. in about 200mtrs is the entrance to the farm and gravel workings called Wintertons Farm. Turn into this entrance. If the gates are locked contact the Club by calling the phone number on the gate.

If travelling from the North leave the M1 at junction 22 (Markfield) and take the A50 towards Leicester. In about 6 miles you will reach the A46 access road junction at a large roundabout join the A46 access road by taking the first exit from the roundabout and then following the A46 access road for about 5 miles when you will approach the A6 junction. Do not leave at this junction but continue for about 1 mile and you willl cross the bridge over the river Soar. in about 200mtrs is the entrance to the farm and gravel workings called Wintertons Farm.
